Prof Edmund Lau is Senior Staff Specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Sydney. He graduated with first class honours from the University of NSW and he has a PhD in pulmonary vascular medicine. He is an academic clinician with a strong research track record of more than 100 publications in peer reviewed journals. He has been the Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Registry of ANZ since 2016 and he has played a major part in improving PBS access to pulmonary hypertension therapies. He also holds leadership positions as Deputy Chair of Medical Council of RPA Hospital and Treasurer of the Thoracic Society of ANZ (NSW Branch).
He consults on all respiratory conditions and has a special interest in pulmonary vascular disease, difficult to treat airways disease, interstitial lung disease and lung cancer screening/nodule assessment. He is fluent in Cantonese and has basic Mandarin proficiency.
